“Pray to Fellow Indians to Not Alienate Us”: Hina Khan’s Heartfelt Plea After Pahalgam Attack

by admin

In the aftermath of the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, popular television and film actress Hina Khan has issued an emotional appeal to fellow Indians, urging them not to alienate or stereotype the people of Kashmir for the actions of a few.

The attack, which targeted a tourist bus in Pahalgam on April 28, left several civilians injured and has once again stirred tensions and concerns over security in the region. In response to the wave of anger and rising online hostility directed at Kashmiris, Hina Khan took to social media to share her anguish and make a heartfelt request.

“As a proud Indian and a Kashmiri, I beg you all — please do not look at us with hatred. We are mourning too. We are heartbroken too,” Hina posted on X (formerly Twitter). “Do not alienate us for what we did not do. These acts of terror are committed by a few monsters. The rest of us are just like you — we want peace, progress, and love.”

Hina, who hails from Srinagar and has become a household name through her work in shows like Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Kasautii Zindagii Kay, expressed deep sorrow for the victims of the attack and extended her prayers to the families affected. She also emphasized the need for unity and understanding at a time when divisions only aid the agendas of extremists.

“We must not allow hatred to define us,” she continued. “Our strength lies in unity, in the ability to feel each other’s pain as our own. Kashmir is not just a piece of land. It’s people, stories, culture, and shared dreams — and many of us are fighting to protect that every day.”

Her message resonated with many, garnering support and praise from fans, colleagues, and peace advocates across the country. Celebrities including Gauahar Khan, Vishal Dadlani, and Swara Bhasker shared her post, echoing her sentiment for solidarity and condemning communal blame.

The Pahalgam attack has once again sparked debates around security and the need for a long-term solution to end violence in the Valley. However, voices like Hina’s stand out in their call for empathy over outrage, and bridge-building over division.

As the country processes yet another tragedy, Hina Khan’s words serve as a powerful reminder — that love for the nation should never come at the cost of compassion for its people.
